Hello everybobs....! this card has been lovingly made for my dear mum for this mothers day x

the background has been made using a cuttlebug folder that was rubbed with distress tumbled glass distress ink before embossing the card. the frams was made by using a MS stamp around the edge punch set then the center cut out and a beveled edge made on my box board. the butterflies were edged using the TG distress ink again. same with the flowers which were distressed before putting together.

It took me an age to actually get around to making a blog as i found it all a bit 'tecnical' for the old grey matter to begin with - but once i got my head around it i loved it!!

Helo there everybobs.... ! todays cards is the design team card for the challenge blog 'stampin for the weekend' and the theme for this challenge was embossing. teh DT members were also given some lovely digi images to work with from the stamp fairy and i chose to use thie cute lil barry angel bear !

he is coloured using promarkers from the cool grey range and ive teamed him up wonderfully with papers from first edition called 'up up and away' whihc are my personal faves at the moment. !

Hello everybobs..... this card is another for the Design team over at 'stampin for the weekend' challenge site. the image is a lovely christmas bird from Kanban stamps. as usual I couldnt resist making the image 3D by layering up on the bird and the holly. The papers are some i fell in love with last year 'Silent night' by papermania. they have a lovely rich oldy worldy christmas theme about them.

Hello everybobs xx this project is a for a christmas gift.... the lovely lil birdcage i spotted for just £8 in my local wilkinsons store... it unscews from the bottom to fit a church candle. I decided to decroate my candle using a seasonal bird image and chose this robin (google images) which i then printed onto tissue paper and melted onto the candle... fiished off wih a lil bit of stardust stickles for snow effect

hello everybobs ...x just got back from a wonderful 2 week holiday back in Malta... my dear O/Half is a Malteser and we go back regularly to visit family and lap up the beautiful sunshine and scenery
i was a bit poorley in the first week as i was bitten by the new giant tiger mozzies they have recently discovered on the island which are giving everyone grief... one of them had a feast on my legs and i was in a right old state and needed lots of high dose meds to stop my legs dropping off hehe and it was quite painful to walk.. but apart form that everything was wonderful.. these pics show my legs after id been on the meds a week!!

i had lots of fantastic experiences whilst there including watching dolphins that my daughter got to stroke, snorkling, kyacking in the sea, swiming with shoals of fish, catching starfish and hermit crabs to look at.... as well as many wonderful meals out with our maltese family and attending 2 feast festivals in mellieha and naxxar which is a fantastic experience with a mixture or music, fireworks, party atmoshpere and dancing in the streets.... heres a few pics x

I coloured it with promarkers then crackled the beach hut using tim holtz crackle paint. the card reminds me of the holiday i had when little in a beach hut at Redcar or seaton carew..(i think) lol I was only little...

HELLO EVERYBOBS!!! thought id share another funny from kayla.. im gettting ready to go of on my jolly hollies soon and yesterday brought down the cases ready to start packing.. it reminded me of this time when my dearest other half was packing to go to visit his family.. kayla took one look at his bag and decided he wasnt going ANYWHERE without her tagging along too.. so in she jumped,,, neatly tucked her nose away so we couldnt see her and laid still and hoped for the best...

UNFORTUNATELY for her we sort of spotted her!! (we didnt have the heart to tell her we could see her bum sticking out) but we stood around the bag saying ohhhh wheres kayla gone?? and each time she would shiver slightly (probably worried in case we noticed her hehehehee)...silly kayla

hello everybobs ! todays card is my DT card for 'Stampin for the Weekend's' fortnightly challenge which this time is SPOTS and DOTS !! ive used papers from My minds eye wild asparagus range which ive recoloured slightly and distressed. and matted onto burgundy cardstock. the border punch is from the xcut range ( leafy lace). the bunny image is form LOTV which i have coloured using promarkers then I have glued on some white mini pompoms for the tails. the flowers are a mixture of handmade punched and shop bought.

My £1 bargain......

Hello everybobs!! today i want to share with you my bargain find of the week!! On passing my local charity shop on the way home from work i spotted through the window a rather sad and lonely looking wooden rack.... then looking at it again with my crafty eye i spotted a bit of potential there as somehing to put my distress ink pads on and other bits n pieces..... so £1 lighter in my purse I trotted off home with it.

I thought the shelves looked a bit 'bare' and although the wood looks quite good in the picture it was really quite rough. So I asked my buddies over on Docrafts wether I should have a go at decorating them or not and they were split 50/50 some said leave it some said go for it... so out came the crackle and the paint lol...

well 3 hours of fun later (with a break to cook and eat ) here is the finished result!!

First of all i stuck some heavy duty card underneath the holes to block them off and built up some dividing walls from the same card.

Next i painted the whole thing with some matt metalic antique gold paint. when dry i painted the top with Tim Holtz disress crackle paint (picket fence) and left to dry and crackle. then i added a touch of lace to the shelves and a flower here and there and TADAAAAA my NEW ink pads and distress paint rack!!

not bad for £1 huh xxx

have been enjoying my new toys, my Tim holtz dies.... the tattered flower courtousy of my bud loops and the elegant flourishes. the papers are called desert bloom by first edition - my fave paper pack at the moment i must say. the background of the sentiment (which is by basic grey) is an embossed nestie which has been coloured with distress inks peeled paint then forest moss. the dragonfly is a papermania chipboard shape that has been crackled then distressed. i had fun making this one xx

Hello everybobs xx today i had a most lovely day... all thank you to my wonderful and reletively new friend Lee who i affectionately call Loops (because shes the only one i know who is as loopy as I am!).

Hello everybobs xx Today ive made a card for a family mamber who has just had a baby boy today. bet you cant guess what they've called him hehe xx I just love this image from the adorable range at sugar nellie - 'Bambino'... perfect for newborn babies xx Ive coloured the baby with pormarkers using blush for the folds, a hint of sunkissed pink on the cheeks, then vanilla and all over in ivory to blend. the hat was coloured using powder blue and pastel blue. the blanket was hinted with blue using chalks. the papers were from the papermania capsule range as were the buttons and i used an xcut border punch for the central strip. thanks for looking and any comments will be most appreciated xx

Hello everybobs xx this week i turned my hand to giving handmade flowers a go...and i dont think i did TOO bad lol. The large pink one was made using Tim Holtz tattereed flowers die. I used aged mahogany distress ink to touch up the edges then scrunched the petals before gluing into place. The White/green flower was made using die cut flower shaped from Uk £1 shops that were being sold last year. I used forest moss distress ink to stamp over the shapes first beore shaping the leaves and sticking together - i finished off with a bit of diamond stickles.

the small flowers were made using papermania flower punches. the lotus one was made after following a tutorial from my good friend Lee http://craftyloops.blogspot.com/2011/06/flower-tutorial-teeny-tiny-lotus-flower.html I can see making plenty of these !!!

Hi there everybobs ! xx this card was commissioned for a wedding where the colour theme is cadbury purple.. the image is from Mo's digital pencil which i love because its not too 'cartoony' but lovely showing the 'first dance'.

i used the purple colour to mat some cuttlebugged card. i used this as i couldnt find a patterned paper that was right to go with the purple without being to OTT.

the flowers (my fave flowers) are foam rubber and i bought them from a haberdashery dept. in Boyes department store. i have seen similar in packs in Hobbycraft too for using on bridal hairpieces etc.

To make this i used the Papermania 'build a butterfly' stamp, one of my old favourites. coloured using promarkers in lemon and Lime hues to meet the theme of the challenge. The butterfly is teamed with simple non fussy papers from the papermania capsule range. i decided on plain papers so as not to detract from the beauty of the butterfly which is the focal point. the ribbons were from papermania capsule and the pearls from Kort and Godt. the Lemon and Lime challenge is on for the next fortnight so if you fancy a challenge please join in xx

Ive just had the most wonderful birthday ever xx not that it was any special birthday or anything like that but because of the response of all my friends on the Docrafts cardmaking forum. ive just totals 70 cards and ive heard still more are belated and in the post.. the picture shows just a portion of them. ive never had such fun opening so many wonderful cards - and appreciating all the hard work and skill that went into making them. i treasured each and every one. some came bearing much loved crafty gifts and two even came with scooby snacks for kayla!!!! (one happy poochy). when i make a card for someone i pour my heart and soul into it and on that day i certainly felt it returned a 100 fold back to me from all my wonderful and thoughtful friends xxxxxx thank you all so much xx

Decided today to have a play with some of my papermania 'woodland Folk' bits and bobs.. the first one i have made into an easel card using my large scalloped nestie die. the papers are distressed using forest moss distress ink and the dragonfly is from teh xcut embossed punch range .

the second one i have left pretty simple as the paper itself was quite bold. i just finished off with a couple of capsule buttons that matched in with the toadstools x thanks for looking and any comments are much appreciated x

Hello everybobs...! for todays card I have used a much loved LOTV image teamed up with papers from the papermania 'Woodland Folk' range. I have coloured the image using promarkers and have then used distress inks to create the water and background colouring. to add depth i have created a popped up frame using valley and mountain folds on the edge of the frame before securing to the card. Next I have added foilage using the sizzlets branches and leaves dies.

DT card for Stampin for the weekend 'Blue buttons and Bling'

Hello there everyone xx This week Ive uploaded the card Ive made as my first ever Design Team card which is for the 'Stampin for the Weekend challenge blog. The challenge this fornight is Blue Buttons and Bling ! I have used a Mo'd digital image coloured using promarkers and embellished using metalic pens for the stars detail although its a little hard to see on the picture. the papers are from the papermania capsule collection and I have used the one that looks like ballon skin as i thought it appropriate. ive coloured her using my promarkers as susual, using coral and associated hues for her cardi and satin teamed with Burnt umber for her dress.. for papers I have used my First Edition 'Desert Bloom' papers which seem to be my favourite at the moment - they have such a lovley quality. the flowers are from my box of lovely foam and paper flowers i have collected from various haberdasheries

I hadnt had a whole boiled egg before and after licking it alllllllll round the kitchen floor I eventually eated it and yummmmmmmmm it was sooo nice...I felt very speshul too cos one of my mummies friends LizG sent me my very own card with my name on !and even better it had my most favourite treats in the whole world with it too... what i call chickky strips oohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh they are yummylicious they make my mouth go all splodgy before i eat them.... and i will even do dancing and rolly poly for mummy wivout growling !

On saturday Mummy had a party with all her friends at Docrafts because she said it was their birthday.. mummy had being doing lots of taptapping on her pooter to make it all nice for everyone and she was being very smiley... BUT then she said i had to help by wearing this silly hat.. well..... I wasnt quite sure i suited it to be honest with you...

anyways when mummy said she would show all the nice peoples my hat i decided id better sit nice for my picture... after all i didnt want to look too stoopid in my pictures....
well thats all for now.. im off to guard my special card in case next doors puddy tat see's it.. cos he might get jealous and try to hide it from me... wuv you all....

This week ive entered the 'Passion for Promarkers' challenge which this week is Pink and Yellow.. I found the colour mix quite a challnge for me hehe competely out of my confort zone but thats maybe what we all need now and then. I used co-ordinations cardstock in pink and lemon teamed with some lemon sorbet capsule paper and some pink gingham i had from donated stock. the buttons are also capsule collection and the sentiments were from papermania Hawthorn & Bramble stamp set. for the image which is a cute Hanglar baby i used the following promarkers:

Skin: sunkissed pink, blush, vanilla, ivory

Hair: burnt sienna, caramel, sandstone

Yellows : sunflower, yellow, lemon, soft lime

Pinks: maroon, cerise, rose pink, pale pink

leaves/stem: olive, moss, pear green

been having a nice little play with my new Tim Holtz alteration die I got on mothers day.. I love it ...

I cut the bird out of downloaded music paper which I distressed using spun sugar and antique linen distress inks. the cage was cut from brown paper stock which i spritzed with glimmer mist and poured enchanted gold embossing powder on (told you i was having a nice play hehe)

the papers were from my new stash - love letters by first edition and the stamp was a freebie from simply cards and papercraft magazine.

Herro everybobs.... its kayla here..and today was mummy's day.. so i wanted to make somfink really nice for my mummy cos shes so nice she buys me scoobysnacks and tickles my belly every day !

So.......ive decided to paint mummy a card.. she likes green its her favourite colour. Im painting it in natalies room so if i make a mess no one will notice hehe !!

For this card ive gone all oriental!!... this is to give to my lovely Mum from my kids for mothers day!

My mum loves all things oriental - shes been to Hong Kong a couple of times and is in constant touch with a lovely family she met there.. needless to say she has a house full the orient and i know this card will be well recieved xxx

The image is one ive had floating round in my file of digi images and im not sure of its origin but its very pretty xx Backing paper is from the papermania 'oriental treasure' range. the pearls and large blue flower were from lovely stash i won from Pink gems blog candy!!!! (thank you) as the paper was already quite 'busy' i decided to keep the emellishments less so as not to over crowd it.

I think this is my favourite image at the moment.. and how different you can make it look with a change of hair colour and clothing..
this one has been made for MY mum to give to my nanna... she dosent know its nearly the same as the card she will be recieving!! the papers i have used are 'Rose garden' by papermania - the lovely duck egg blue is one of my favourite colours. The image has been coloured with promarkers using....

HAIR - cinnamon, caramel, sandstone and satin.
FACE - soft peach, blush, vanilla, ivory
CLOTHES - buttercup, primrose, dugg egg, cool aqua and tea green

the flowers i get in bunches from Boyes haberdashery dept and are foam rubber.

Today's card is for a little boy, Leyland, who loves cars I like childrens cards to be bright and bold and thought this Hot - Rod car was just the ticket!!!

was asked to make a card for my daughter to give to one of her friends who will be 17 shortly. Her friend Freya has a bit of the 'rock chic' thing going on so i chose this image by Kenny K to hopefully be in keeping with the whole thing..the image was coloured using my promarkers and highlighted in glitter.

i had decided on a red and black theme to start... but then couldnt find the right paper and ended up with a sheet that was actually christmas paper from an old christmas stack.. red with tiny old gold stars... i decided to print my own pattern using 'two scoops heart smudge' flourish stamps from basic grey. the flowers were from my stash with one of them recoloured in black with red tips and again a hint of glitter. the sentiment says Freya using 'kingthings spike' font.

Made this one for for my step-grandeon in Malta who will be 6 next week. Have had this free stamp a while now from one of the cardmaking magazines, waiting to put it to good use.
the papers were actually 12x12 papers from a papermania 'pets' set.. these were the ones that didnt have paw prints all over them hehe. i liked the colour combos. i finished off with some co-ordinating coloures capsule collection buttons x

Today was asked if i could make a card using lilacs or purples for a mother-in-law's birthday ... After having a root through my stash i came across these pretty Papermania Henbury Lane papers... ideal for the job!!
then i spent a good half an hour trying to get a decent cut from my Marriane butterfly die...gosh they are hard work!! if the die dosnt cut right through your card youve had it lol.... i coloured my butterfly using my purple shades of promarkers blending from a pink shade to darker purple then out again through to Lavendar. i added a touch of sparkle (which i always thinks looks nice on these butterflies) using light purple glitz it glitter glue. the flowers i arranged onto a piece of foam tape and again glitzed up with glitter glue to match xx

lets hope they like it !!!

and i did another with a slight variation to the theme to add to my box of cards xx

My dads birthday is next week!! so Ive made him a card featuring this lovely LOTV stamp.. seeing as my dad loves his car it seemed appropriate. Ive used My Minds Eye 'Wild Asparagus' papers - these are lovely papers, I adore the muted tones they use and they co-ordinate really well. Some of the papers are double sided and I wont tell dad that theres flowers on the other side if you dont hehe!!

Today (1st March) is my sons 18th birthday!!!

My son Daniel has (surprisingly some might say) lived long enough to become a man... its his 18th Birthday today bless him!! He was able to start opening his cards at about 11.30 last night as he has college all day today and has an hours journey there so we started early!! good job too as we were still at it at 1am lol... a whole heap of my good buddies at Docrafts on the cardmaking forum had sent him beautiful handmade cards and from a usual 3 or 4 he ended up with over 40!!! hi there folks xx have just finnished a card for my lovely mum for this mothers day. The image chosen is 'Joy' from Sugar Nellie coloured using promarkers. colours used were
Hair - Henna, Terracotta, sienna and cocoa
skin - blush, soft peach, vanilla and ivory

clothes - peach, soft peach, satin

I have made the image resemble myself at a young age with my bright auburn coloured hair and im sure my mum will love it xx

the papers used were unfortunately a gift and had no top wrapper so I am unable to tell you what brand they are. The flowers are form my collection of small flower bunches from various haberdashery stores along with flower petals and leaves from dismantled flower sprays. flock tape and gems from 'my minds eye' asparagus collection.

she never fails to make me smile - each and every day!! wish I could say that about the kids hehe..

She has a basket full of toys.. each lovingly named... she takes her time each day pulling a pile of them out and studying them, a sniff here a lick there and them BAM..the choice made she will run madly round the house with the toy of the day.. for the last few days it has been a new toy 'Moggibone'. this toy is a large pink fluffy bone sent so kindly form my good friend Moggilee from Docrafts. But today her choice was 'Botox' a set of squeeky inflated furry lips. i never fail to laugh when her head pops up and she has 'Botox' in her mouth as it makes her look sooooo funny... so thank you Kayla for todays lovely smile on both your face and mine!

making cards for young girls is such a blast! you can do just about anything cant you? for Natalies cards i decided to go all out with some tildas.. this way i get to make the cards - give the cards - but still keep the cards lol! after all they are tooo nice to give away...
for the one from me i used circus tilda on her horse (nat loves horses). all coloured with promarkers using burgundy, crimson and red for the dress. the trim and shoes were later touched with glitterglue to give it some bling! for the background i actually used christmas paper as it was the right shade of burgundy and gold. i punched matching cardstock using the xcut leafy lace punch for the outer layers. the flowers i love and have a boxfull of them - they are form the haberdashery dept in a department shop called Boyes and were £2 a bunch for about 10 heads. i have a few different colours and 2 sizes and they stick down great a they are made of foam rubber!! - gorgeous...

had a lto of birthday cards to make this last week or so with my sons 18th approaching along with my youngest girls 15th shortly after..
for Daniels first card I made a large number 18 as the focal point using coredintaions cardstock that i ran through the printer. teamed up with matching papers. the numbers were embossed and distressed.

next from his sisters i used precut decoupage from 'Fizzy Moon celebrations'(trimcraft) teamed up with paper from dovecraft 'back to basics II' paperpack to create these...

lets hope he likes them!!
