Happy Blogiversary to me !

Upon checking I just found out its my 1st Blogiversary today of all days hehe!!

It took me an age to actually get around to making a blog as i found it all a bit 'tecnical' for the old grey matter to begin with - but once i got my head around it i loved it!!

So heres thanking all the 40+ thousand peeps who have followed my first year and roll on many more xx

Hello everybobs... this card has been made using papermanias Portobello road collection..matched with the papermania classic cars stamp set (mini) which has been coloured using promarkers to match the theme of the papers. Ive done this card especially for my son who will be 19 in march!!

hello everybobs.... this card has been made for one of my hubbies work partnersfor valentines day for his wife.. hope she likes it xx

papers are from first edition and the dies are scrolwork and heartwings both from the tim holtz range of sizzix bigz dies.

DT card - 'embossing'

Helo there everybobs.... ! todays cards is the design team card for the challenge blog 'stampin for the weekend' and the theme for this challenge was embossing. teh DT members were also given some lovely digi images to work with from the stamp fairy and i chose to use thie cute lil barry angel bear !

he is coloured using promarkers from the cool grey range and ive teamed him up wonderfully with papers from first edition called 'up up and away' whihc are my personal faves at the moment. !

'Out with the old' - Design Team card...

Hello everybobs !  This card is my Design Team card for stampin for the weekends challnge which this time is themed 'out with the Old' - to use and old image or stamp from your stash. I decided on one of my old favourites from Mo's digital images teamed with these lushious papers from first edition called 'Dreamcatcher' which matched up beatuifully with the flowers and butterflies on the image.

Hello everybobs !  this one has been made especially for my dear mum and stepdad who bought me this wonderful tim holtz die for christmas !! i have been after this one for a while as i love the idea of all the lil dresses i can make hehe x the lettering is also another pressy and was the tim holtz 'once upon a time' letter die x again another fab present.  the papers are from first edition packs 'desert bloom' and 'summer breeze'.  so thank you for your gifts and hope you like my card x

this card was made using papermania christmas candles stamp which was stamped in versamark clear ink then gold embossed. The colouring was promarkers as usual and the papers are papermania silent night papers which i adore as i love the colours.  the card was used for this fornights design team card for stampin for tte weekend challenge site

'Friends' DT card

The challenge was called 'Friends' and i couldnt resist this uber cute magnolia tilda and edwin image. coloured using promarkers as usual ive done it to match the papers which are from the brilliant First estive Joy.  i do love First edition papers they are a joy to work with!

Hello everybobs ! this card is for my daughters firend who goes by the unusual name of smoo ! the image is my fave KennyK coloured using promarkers with a distress ink background. The paper is from the Lawrence Lewellyn Bowen range with a hand made sentiment.

'sketch' design team card

Hello everybobs..... this card is another for the Design team over at 'stampin for the weekend' challenge site. the image is a lovely christmas bird from Kanban stamps. as usual I couldnt resist making the image 3D by layering up on the bird and the holly. The papers are some i fell in love with last year 'Silent night' by papermania. they have a lovely rich oldy worldy christmas theme about them.

SPOOKY DT card

hello everybobs... this project is for the 'stampin for  the weeked' design team.  the new challenge this fortnight is spooky! so out came the orange purple and green yayyy... this card is made as a pop up frame card which gives depth... the background was made using a handmade stencil, shaving brush and orange distress ink. tilda, house cat and pumpkin were coloured using promarkers

birdcage candle gift...

Hello everybobs xx  this project is a for a christmas gift.... the lovely lil birdcage i spotted for just £8 in my local wilkinsons store... it unscews from the bottom to fit a church candle.  I decided to decroate my candle using a seasonal bird image and chose this robin (google images) which i then printed onto tissue paper and melted onto the candle... fiished off wih a lil bit of stardust stickles for snow effect

New Home......

this stamp is a set from papermania from the V&A Hanovarian collection. its a lovely result but very fiddly for colouring hehe x i used promarkers as usual and the papers are from the same range. i built up the trellis and hollyhocks to add a 3d effect to the project.

back from my wonderful holiday x

hello everybobs ...x  just got back from a wonderful 2 week holiday back in Malta...  my dear O/Half is a Malteser and we go back regularly to visit family and lap up the beautiful sunshine and scenery
i was a bit poorley in the first week as i was bitten by the new giant tiger mozzies they have recently discovered on the island which are giving everyone grief... one of them had a feast on my legs and i was in a right old state and needed lots of high dose meds to stop my legs dropping off hehe and it was quite painful to walk.. but apart form that everything was wonderful.. these pics show my legs after id been on the meds a week!!

i had lots of fantastic experiences whilst there including watching dolphins that my daughter got to stroke, snorkling, kyacking in the sea, swiming with shoals of fish, catching starfish and hermit crabs to look at.... as well as many wonderful meals out with our maltese family and attending 2 feast festivals in mellieha and naxxar which is a fantastic experience with a mixture or music, fireworks, party atmoshpere and dancing in the streets....  heres a few pics x

HOLIDAYS... DT card

Hello everybobs !......  todays card is a design team card for the HOLIDAYS challenge over at stampin for the weekend challenge blog (http://stampinfortheweekend.blogspot.com/2011/08/challenge-15-holidays.html)  i built my image up to be 3d by multiple printing and layering of the image. I coloured it with promarkers then crackled the beach hut using tim holtz crackle paint.  the card reminds me of the holiday i had when little in a beach hut at Redcar or seaton carew..(i think) lol I was only little...



oh kayla your such a funny pooch

HELLO EVERYBOBS!!! thought id share another funny from kayla.. im gettting ready to go of on my jolly hollies soon and yesterday brought down the cases ready to start packing.. it reminded me of this time when my dearest other half was packing to go to visit his family.. kayla took one look at his bag and decided he wasnt going ANYWHERE without her tagging along too.. so in she jumped,,, neatly tucked her nose away so we couldnt see her and laid still and hoped for the best...

UNFORTUNATELY for her we sort of spotted her!! (we didnt have the heart to tell her we could see her bum sticking out) but we stood around the bag saying ohhhh wheres kayla gone?? and each time she would shiver slightly (probably worried in case we noticed her hehehehee)...silly kayla

A MAORI BIRTHDAY CARD

HELLO EVERYBOBS!

ive made this card to give to my daugher for her 20th next week from her brother!! i asked him what he would like on it and he specified a maori design (kim likes maoris!!) with a lion because she is leo and not coloured or too fussy....  hmmmmmmmm thanks dan!!  still id didnt come out too bad, the writing says happy birthday in maori xx

DT card SPOTS and DOTS !!

hello everybobs !  todays card is my DT card for 'Stampin for the Weekend's' fortnightly challenge which this time is SPOTS and DOTS !! ive used papers from My minds eye wild asparagus range which ive recoloured slightly and distressed. and matted onto burgundy cardstock.  the border punch is from the xcut range ( leafy lace). the bunny image is form LOTV which i have coloured using promarkers then I have glued on some white mini pompoms for the tails.  the flowers are a mixture of handmade punched and shop bought.

My £1 bargain......

Hello everybobs!! today i want to share with you my bargain find of the week!!  On passing my local charity shop on the way home from work i spotted through the window a rather sad and lonely looking wooden rack....  then looking at it again with my crafty eye i spotted a bit of potential there as somehing to put my distress ink pads on and other bits n pieces.....  so £1 lighter in my purse I trotted off home with it.

I thought the shelves looked a bit 'bare' and although the wood looks quite good in the picture it was really quite rough.  So I asked my buddies over on Docrafts wether I should have a go at decorating them or not and they were split 50/50 some said leave it some said go for it... so out came the crackle and the paint lol...

well 3 hours of fun later (with a break to cook and eat ) here is the finished result!!

First of all i stuck some heavy duty card underneath the holes to block them off and built up some dividing walls from the same card.

Next i painted the whole thing with some matt metalic antique gold paint. when dry i painted the top with Tim Holtz disress crackle paint (picket fence) and left to dry and crackle.  then i added a touch of lace to the shelves and a flower here and there and TADAAAAA my NEW ink pads and distress paint rack!!

not bad for £1 huh xxx
