this weeks card is another wellington BUT poor wellybob has been turned into a GIRL!! i wanted to pop a bow round his neck but i couldnt get it to go right... so in desperation i popped it on his... sorry HER head lol xxx  well i think he makes a lovely lady bear xx

Wellington Bear

Hello everybobs xx todays card is the lovely wellington bear from papermania... i love him ..so cute

ive teamed him up with papers from papermania's new brown capsule collection which are beautiful papers... x

Wellington is coloured using my promarkers as usual...
feet / nose were done with...

dark - umber
med - burnt sienna
light - cocoa

fur shadows..
warm grey 5, 4 then lots of 2
then all over with satin except for highlight areas which i did in ivory

to finish use warm grey 2 and flick fur pattern onto 'shaggy' areas

hello everybobs xx my card this week is for the design team card for the 'layer upon layer' challenge over at Stampin for the weekend..

the papers are from first edition 'imogen' and the die is from tim holtz's 'sewing room'. the tape measure is a stamp from maya road and the sewing background is made using see dee morsels

Royal Jubilee card Published!!!!

Hello everybobs !...  well the card this week is a very special one in deed... it has been made for HRH the Queen on the occasion of her Diamond Jubilee...



I was approached from committe members of the town partnership of where i live to make the card to send to the Queen for her jubilee.... On disclosing the mamoth task Id been given the lovely peeps over at Docrafts sent me a parcel to help me out.... full of the gorgeous Portobello Road goodies.. I quickly got to work with planning it but didnt rush it as i needed to get it just right,,,

I decided on an easel card design to give me more 'floorspace' to fit in all the elements i wanted to use.

I hope her HRH likes it as much as the people I made it for!!

My card and story has also been published in the Mays copy of Creativity although i have yet to see the article yet as i havent been able to grab a copy as my local stockist hasnt got it yet - i cant wait!



playing with beer tins again!!

hello everybobs ! - these 2 cards have been made using my style of the moment which is beer can diecuts..  My other half kindly donates the beer cans and i recycle them into little pieces of treasure lol.

The crown card is made using sizzix bigs 'crown' die and portobello road papers and is the card Ive made whilst making my photo tutorial on beer can diecuts which you can find under my tutorials...

the butterfly card is made using tim holtz's fanciful flight sizzix bigz die and spring drop papers by first edition and is my DT card for this weeks challenge over at 'stampin for the weekend' xx

mam's little birdie...

Hello everybobs..x  this card has been made for my dear mum to give to her mum (my nanna) for her birthday.  Nanna lives in the north of England where mums are Mams! Hence the spelling..

The image is a Helz Cuppleditch 'a little bird' coloured with my promarkers and the papers are 'up and away' by first edition..

Tim Holtz sewing room '2'

Hello everybobs xx this card is one of my fave cards to make with the brilliantly versatile tim holtz sewing room die. Its like being a little fashion designer hehe!!..

i used good stiff brown card for the dummy which i distressed to add depth. I also utilised a bit of the tim holtz birdcage die to make the skirt. this was teamed up with my all time favourite first edition papers, this one being 'Isabelle'.

The tape measure was made using my newest stamp by maya road which i just purchased.. and the sewing background was made by stamped images from seedee morsels along with a freebie nitwits sentiment.



TARGET REACHED AT SLIMMING WORLD !

Hello everybobs xx  I would just like to share an acheivement with you all ! I have been slimming since Sept 11 after seeing my holiday photos eeek !!
this evening at slimming world I achived my slimming target weight and recieved free lifetime membership
I have gone from 13st 4 lbs and a size 18 in the pic below last sept

To a slinky 10st 7lb and size 12 now xx

Ready Teddy GO ! DT card

Hello everybobs xx  this card is the DT card ive made for the stampin for the weekend challenge site of which I am the host  for this callenge ! The challenge is called ready teddy Go and you have to include a teddy bear stamp or Digi image.

I made this card for my Daughter Natalies Birthday and she loved it!

The image was coloured using my Promarkers as usual and I teamed it up with papers from First Edition called spring feast... (I love those papers). the card, sentiment and borders were distressed with bundled sage Distress ink to make it all tie in nicely. Flowers were from my flower box mostly bought from haberdasheries across the contry lol

DT card - 'Anything goes'

the Image is from the stamp fairy and papers are from the papermania capsule collection 'lemon sorbet' as are the ribbons and buttons. ive used large scalloped circle nesties for the matting and finished off with googly eyes, pompoms and a lil bit of stickles xx thanks for looking

Beer Can Birdcage

Hello everybobs x  this card is for a friend of mine turning 40 today and has a surprise party tonight (no she wont be reading this lol).. ive been attacking the beer cans again..(come on hubbie drink up i need supplies) this time using tim holtz caged bird die and teamed up with first edition birdsong papers. i love the way using tin caches the light.  ive found if you pop the tin in your cuttlebug with the die underneath and the patterned side of the tin facing upward the die sort of bevels the tin as it cuts it making it safer to have as an embelishment.  anyways hope you like this one as much as the jalopy x

engagement flowers

hello everybobs...x this card ive made to celebrate the engagement of one of my younger cousins (congrats graham and amanda!!!)

the background is made using a cuttlebug folder which was inked with tattered rose distress ink before embossing. the flowers were made using different sized papermania flower punches and the leaves are by sizzix sizzlets.. again distressed with tattered rose. frame was made using a papermania border punch (leafy lace)

Tim Holtz Beer Can Jalopy



Hello everybobs xx well i was cutting it fine this time...i had a card to make for my dad and i as usual had left it till the last day for posting hehe... problem was my mojo had gone into hiding... and i found it in the strangest place.. the recyling bin.......   i just happened to knock it on the way past and out fell one of my hubbies empty beer cans.. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm i thought on picking it up... i wonder.....

well ten mins later after hacking off the top and bottom and laying flat the tin i was whizzing it through my cuttlebug along with dear old timmies sloppy jalopy die...  the siver was... well.. ok but not quite what i was after so out came the good old promarkers and a bit of Umber did the job nicely.. the ink sort of flooded and pooled as i was colouring and left the tin with a lovely marbled effect that i really liked!!!  I stuck the extra bits on using black foam pads for visability sake which worked great... 

Now i had my lovely lil car i needed a suitable background.. I also had a reel of sticky backed alaminium tape i wanted to play with so i experimented with that first...  to start with i ran it through the bug with a tim holtz checkered embossing folder... it didnt go all the way down the strip but it was easy enough to put the other end of the strip back in the folder and emboss the other end as the squares matched up nicely.  i used the same promarker to then colour in the foil... a perfect match!

for a paper i used a square from a 12 x 12 papermani portobello road paper which i heavily distressed using about 3 different inks to tie the whole lot together. the sentiments were from the same range... again distressed to match..  to finish a little bit of ink to the edges of the card and bobs ya teapot!!!

im sure my dad will like it!! and he should get it in time as it was in the post with the ink still drying lol

mothers day love...

Hello everybobs....!  this card has been lovingly made for my dear mum for this mothers day x

the background has been made using a cuttlebug folder that was rubbed with distress tumbled glass distress ink before embossing the card. the frams was made by using a MS stamp around the edge punch set then the center cut out and a beveled edge made on my box board. the butterflies were edged using the TG distress ink again. same with the flowers which were distressed before putting together.

Happy Blogiversary to me !

Upon checking I just found out its my 1st Blogiversary today of all days hehe!!

It took me an age to actually get around to making a blog as i found it all a bit 'tecnical' for the old grey matter to begin with - but once i got my head around it i loved it!!

So heres thanking all the 40+ thousand peeps who have followed my first year and roll on many more xx

Helo there everybobs.... ! todays cards is the design team card for the challenge blog 'stampin for the weekend' and the theme for this challenge was embossing. teh DT members were also given some lovely digi images to work with from the stamp fairy and i chose to use thie cute lil barry angel bear !

he is coloured using promarkers from the cool grey range and ive teamed him up wonderfully with papers from first edition called 'up up and away' whihc are my personal faves at the moment. !

'Out with the old' - Design Team card...

Hello everybobs !  This card is my Design Team card for stampin for the weekends challnge which this time is themed 'out with the Old' - to use and old image or stamp from your stash. I decided on one of my old favourites from Mo's digital images teamed with these lushious papers from first edition called 'Dreamcatcher' which matched up beatuifully with the flowers and butterflies on the image.
